Book Review: Heroes of Olympus 2: Son of Neptune

For this Greek/Roman mythological based fantasy novel for young adults/preteens? 6.125 out of 10. (I like decimals) It was suspenseful, I couldn't put it down, and all of my friends liked it. And yet at the same time I don't think it appeals to many. The only reason my friends liked it was because I'm an 11 year old boy (Which is pretty much the only group these books appeal to). Boys around my age have nothing better to do than read Percy Jackson and play Minecraft. (So glad I'm not one of those kids). Really, I'm a diehard Harry Potter fan at heart.

I have to say, despite my... constructive criticism, Rick Riordan didn't do a bad job on this. In this, book, unlike others, Riordan tries to focus on the mysterious background of the characters: Percy Jackson, Frank Zhang, and Hazel Levesque, rather than the fast-paced action appreciated by the younger audience.

This review is PROBably overdue, but (from the words of Neil Gaiman) I'm what you'd call a lazy writer
